Who We Are

‘To serve as the business community’s catalyst for leading Skiatook into a growing, diversified & prosperous future

In September of 2022, the City of Skiatook partnered with the Skiatook Chamber of Commerce to take on the role of Skiatook’s economic development. In doing so, the Chamber immediately hired a third party consultant to conduct a study and present a strategic plan. The strategic plan was rolled out to the community in January of 2023. You can find it below.

To ensure that Skiatook is staying connected to their community and their wants and needs, they have set up an ongoing survey that is referred to often.

Downtown Revitalization

Welcome to Skiatook’s up and coming Gateway District.

As part of the recommendation from their strategic plan, Skiatook set out to create and implement a Downtown Committee. This committee is formed and consists of local business and/ or property owners within the boundaries of the downtown area. The Downtown Committee worked to set new boundaries to declare an actual district within the city, they will assist in approving any enhancements to downtown buildings to ensure that the look and environment is cohesive and era sensitive and they will work on presenting certain events to draw attention to the up and coming area. All of these: districting, revitalization, exposure will create an environment and atmosphere that their residents and visitors will want to experience.

Skiatook’s Downtown Revitalization will appeal to existing businesses to relocate the district, while attracting new businesses from other areas to Skiatook, Oklahoma.
